VESTA, SC in ex. Sacrificial scene before the temple of Vesta
in the Forum Romanum: six veiled vestals, four of them adult,
two of them small children, standing in two groups of three,
sacrificing over burning, garlanded altar; in the background
the tetrastyle temple of Vesta with domed roof, surmounted
by a statue, and a seated cult image within.
